Fall Favorites for September

Fall Favorites

With September already in its second day, it is officially time for Autumn and that means a new set of absolutely fabulous treasures for your closet. The 60s were all over the runways for the season and if we are going to do the 60s, might as well do it in as girly a fashion as it was originally intended.

1. The pastel pink faux fur jacket
Let's face it, pastels shouldn't be just for spring. I mean, with fall comes colder weather and leaf-less trees, so we might as well try and bring so light and fresh color to contrast with our surroundings! This pastel pink fur coat is something I am currently searching for everywhere. If you're not a fur type of person, a great loose pastel pink trench would be an amazing addition to any closet as well!
2. The A-line mini-dress
If we are going to go all-60s, we must have a mini-dress in our closet. Whether it be embroidered or just a simple monochrome piece, any mini-dress will do. As a fan of prints and patterns, I just had to post this Needle&Thread piece.
3. The point-toe flat
I recently purchased a pair of point-toe flats from Forever 21 and I absolutely cannot wait to wear them. I'll post about them later! Nothing says 60s like Audrey Hepburn's classic style, and these shoes are definitely inspired by it and a must!
4. The backpack
Yes, the backpack has kind of been talked about for a while now and it seems that it almost a don't now. But, really it isn't, because not only are backpacks super comfortable and easy to wear, this particular Cambridge Satchel Company backpack is definitely classic and literally a nostalgic throwback.

Till the next post!
A bientot!

Fall 2014 Trends: Splurge or Save

Fall 2014 Trends

Bonjour! With Fall just around the corner, I decided to post my top 3 picks for fall 2014 trends, with Splurge and Save options.
1. The white-collared black dress
I love this type of dress for both its versatility and elegance. This dress can be dressed up or down just with a change of shoes. The Alexander Mcqueen dress is definitely a dream, but a similar look can be easily achieved with this lavishalice.com dress I found.
2. The Blanket Coat
The talk of the season is definitely the blanket coat, popularized this year by Burberry's collection. Over $2,000 is definitely alot of money to spend for anyone, so even a store such as Topshop are selling them at great look and price. I even bought a blanket coat last September at Target for around $20. A comfortable and boho-prep way to stay warm this autumn.
3. The knee-high boots with 60s heels
I love the heels of these boots because they are so reminiscent of the 60s and the fashion of the ultra feminine. Not only cute and pretty, they are also very comfortable because of the low heel! Comfort in shoes is always a must!

TOP 4

My Favorites

Falsies Mascara- Definitely my go-to mascara! I usually put on a few layers of it to make my lashes look long and thick.

Suave Dry Shampoo- Absolutely great for those days when you can't get to washing your hair but don't want your hair to look flat.

Nivea Lip Balm- One of my favorite, wait no, my absolute favorite lip balm to wear. I'm not too much a fan of lipstick, but I love a light pink lip color. With this lip balm, it both moisturizes and has great color.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish- I love this nail polish because you only need one or two layers to get the desired color. My favorite colors are the "Lacey Lilac" and "Breezy Blue", mostly because I prefer a light, pastel color for nails rather than a bold and bright shade.

Collection Favorites: Mulberry Autumn/Winter 2014

Hello to you all. I can't believe its almost the end of August and with it the end of summer. Even though summer will soon be leaving us and taking away with it, sandals and shorts, autumn brings with it boots, coats and cozy knit sweaters. Since autumn is approaching, I'm already looking to Autumn/Winter fahsion, looking for new elements to add to my wardrobe. As I was looking online, I came across this new Mulberry campaign for A/W 2014, starring Cara Delevigne, the it girl in modeling at the moment. As I scrolled through these looks, I became absolutely enchanted with them. Going back to its British heritage, Mulberry brings quintessentially British tradition back to its clothing. Simple knitted sweaters in a span of colors representing the English countryside to the prints we have come to love and equate with Britain, this collection is everything I love. Plaids, cross body bags, warm knitted sweaters, everything that fall fashion is about. Not to mention the lovely and oh so British brogues, or oxfords as they are called, which I happen to love for their ability to make any outfit look prim and proper and simply for their adorability factor of 10. I will definitely be looking to incorporate elements of this Mulberry collection into my wardrobe this autumn and winter, of course with more affordable versions of these looks.
